Thank you for sharing this. Into The Wild is one of my favorite movies and made me an Emile Hirsch fan. There are a lot of themes in the film that mirror the theme of this article. Is nature really separate from humanity. It seems that we have separated ourselves from it. And that's why the knowledge isn't there for so many people about the realities of the wilderness. It's beautiful, but also treacherous. We're not meant for that world anymore. But it HAS definitely been changed by humanity's intervention.
